Terms
These terms cover the CoralDoc marketing site at coraldoc.com and CoralDoc Cloud at app.coraldoc.com. By using either, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. CoralDoc is in beta. Features can change, and some are not ready for every organization yet.
If you run CoralDoc on your own server, that copy is also covered by the license shipped with the edition you run. You are the operator of that copy. These website terms do not make us the host of a server we do not run.
The service
CoralDoc is a knowledge base. Pages are ordinary files in storage a tenant connects, such as a Git repository, a disk, object storage, or a folder in Google Drive. CoralDoc adds accounts, membership, roles, search, and editing around those files.
You must give accurate account information and keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for the people you invite into a tenant you administer.
Your content
You keep ownership of the files you store in CoralDoc and of the files already in storage you connect. You give CoralDoc permission to read, write, and display those files so the product can do what you ask: show a page, save an edit, search, keep a version, or store a comment or attachment.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to put that content in the tenant and, when you connect a storage account, to let the tenant use it. That includes a Google account. Connect Drive only if you are allowed to grant access to that account's files for the people in the tenant.
Google Drive
Connecting Google Drive starts a Google consent screen for the CoralDoc Drive client. The scope
includes https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive. You pick one My Drive folder. That
folder is the space. CoralDoc then reads and writes files inside it, as the
Google user data page describes.
Files in the folder stay in your Google Drive. Deleting the CoralDoc space does not delete the folder. Removing the space, or removing CoralDoc from your Google Account permissions, stops CoralDoc from calling Drive for that connection. Other products that use the same Google account are not affected by these terms.
Use of Google APIs through CoralDoc is also subject to the Google APIs Terms of Service and the Google API Services User Data Policy.
Acceptable use
You will not:
- Break the law, or violate someone else's privacy or intellectual property, with CoralDoc.
- Probe, disrupt, or take data from a tenant or account you are not allowed to use.
- Upload malware or use the service to send unwanted bulk email.
- Misrepresent CoralDoc's access to Google user data, or use data from a connected Google account for advertising or sale.
We may suspend a Cloud account or tenant that breaks these terms, puts the service at risk, or draws a complaint we consider credible. Where we can, we will tell you why.
Beta, fees, and changes
CoralDoc Cloud is in beta. It may be unavailable, slow, or incomplete. We may add, change, or remove features. During beta, Cloud access may be free. If we charge later, we will say so before a fee applies to you. Self-hosted editions follow the price and license for that edition.
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page will change. If you keep using CoralDoc Cloud after that date, the updated terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using CoralDoc Cloud and ask us to close the account.
Disclaimers and liability
CoralDoc Cloud and this website are provided as available. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or that connected storage will be free of loss. Keep your own copies of important files. The files in a connected folder, repository, or bucket remain in that system.
To the extent the law allows, CoralDoc and the people who operate it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for lost content in storage you control. Our total liability for a claim about CoralDoc Cloud or this website is limited to the fees you paid us for CoralDoc Cloud during the 12 months before the claim. If you paid nothing, that limit is zero. This limit does not apply where the law does not allow it, including liability that cannot legally be limited.
Ending use
You may stop using CoralDoc Cloud at any time. You may delete a space or ask us to close a tenant. Closing a tenant does not delete files that live in Google Drive or in other storage you connected. We may stop offering CoralDoc Cloud. If we shut the Cloud service down, we will give reasonable notice when we have a way to reach the tenant owner.
